Inspired by the legendary author who called Key West home, Hemingway is our classic and timeless ride. Just like its namesake, this scooter embodies adventure and style with a touch of elegance.
Hemingway House & Museum
Ernest Hemingway, the legendary Nobel Prize-winning author, made Key West his home from 1931 to 1939. His house at 907 Whitehead Street became a sanctuary where he penned some of his most famous works, including "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "A Farewell to Arms."
The Hemingway House is now a museum and home to over 50 six-toed cats, descendants of his beloved polydactyl cat, Snow White. These cats roam freely throughout the property, adding to the mystique and charm that Hemingway himself cherished.
Hemingway wrote in a studio above the carriage house, surrounded by lush tropical gardens. The peaceful setting provided the perfect environment for creativity and reflection, inspiring some of the greatest American literature.
Key West's laid-back atmosphere, vibrant sunsets, and close-knit community provided Hemingway with the perfect backdrop for both writing and living. The island's fishing culture, rum runners, and colorful characters all influenced his work and lifestyle.
The Hemingway scooter embodies the author's spirit of adventure, his love for the simple pleasures of island life, and his appreciation for timeless elegance. It's perfect for exploring Key West the way Papa himself would have loved.
